Funders and Partners
Our group has a proven track record of administering funding from a range of funders. In 2016 we delivered a project entitled "Changing Key", working with St. Cecilia's College and the McPhillips School of Speech and Drama in which we examined the issue of suicide through the medium of music, addressing this creatively through singing, education and performance. This was supported by the Acorn Legacy Fund. We also provided the musical elements to a Heritage Lottery application lead by Caw/Nelson Drive Action group which celebrated the Centenaries with music commemorating the Easter Rising and the Battle of the Somme. Other funding bodies include Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, and Derry City and Strabane District Council.
We are currently working in partnership with the City of Derry International Choir Festival to deliver the Every Voice Fringe Festival. The EVFF involves choral singing taking place in a wide range of community venues throughout Derry City & Strabane District Council area during September and October. In 2018 Allegri coordinated 72 community events affording local choirs the opportunity to perform alongside visiting international choirs.
