We’re delighted to be back to activities for our autumn/winter term and there’s plenty coming up between now and December! But first, we wanted to look back on the summer and thank everyone who was part of it and helped make the magic happen – those who took part, came along, volunteered or helped in another way.
As always, we are so thankful to all our funders for their generous support of all that we do – The Arts Council of Northern Ireland, The National Lottery Community Fund, Derry City and Strabane District Council, and Breda and Patrick McGinnis.
June 2026: Every Voice Festival
From 6–14 June, Every Voice Festival brought music into venues and communities across Derry. Choirs, school groups, workplace singers and community ensembles took part, with performances ranging from care home visits and local concerts to our Sacred Music Concert and Illuminate! at The Playhouse.
One of the highlights was Come & Sing at the Guildhall, where singers from across the region spent the day working with Greg Beardsell before performing together that evening. We closed the festival with If Walls Could Speak, featuring Orchestra NorthWest and Allegri Ladies Choir.
August 2026: Youth Summer Schemes
Our annual summer scheme saw two weeks of singing, dancing, creativity, energy, fun and friendship! The first week focused on musical theatre and the second on creative arts. Both weeks culminated in a spectacular showcase. It was lovely to see the children and young people make new friends, try different activities and bring so much energy and personality to each day.
The scheme was supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland through its Rural Engagement Arts Programme.
