Every Voice Cloud Choir

In these uncertain times, our team feel it’s important to stay connected through music. Our ‘Cloud Choir’ project brings together over 150 voices in fun choral workshops led by Allegri's Musical Director Maurice Kelly. We will then record and produce a professional video of Jacob Narverud’s Sisi Ni Moja (We Are One).

As well as embodying a message which epitomises the spirit of the moment, the song is an upbeat feel-good piece which is accessible to all, regardless of experience. This is an inter-generational project including families making music together as well as older members of our community who are currently self isolating.

We are all aware of the healing, transformative and uplifting power of singing together, so this is an opportunity for local singers to come together in the spirit of community and fun which we need now perhaps more than ever. This project is supported by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland through the Coronavirus Community Fund

A Cheerful Place

We had a fantastic evening in O'Neills Sportswear Factory for the launch of our commissioned piece, ‘A Cheerful Place’. It was a beautiful event in the last operating garment factory in Derry.

‘A Cheerful Place’ was composed by Dr. Shane Lynch with lyrics from a poem by local poet Mícheál McCann. It celebrates and honours in song the women of our city and it's wonderful shirt-making heritage.
