We believe it is so important to support our local community and charitable causes. Since forming in 2013 we have supported a number of charities including Foyle Search and Rescue, Foyle Women’s Aid, Something Special, Northern Ireland Cancer Care, Diabetes UK, Hands and Voices Deaf Children's Society, Foyle Food Bank and Alzheimer's Society NI.

In 2018 we established Equal Voices, a pop-up choir which combined the forces of Allegri Kids and Foyle Down Syndrome Trust. The group availed of a series of choral workshops, singing together in a fully inclusive environment, culminating in a public performance on stage in The Guildhall as part of the Every Voice Fringe Festival. In March 2019, Equal Voices performed again in a community concert and a flashmob displaying their new-found musical skills.

Our group has a proven track record of administering funding from a range of funders. In 2016 we delivered a project entitled "Changing Key", working with St. Cecilia's College and the McPhillips School of Speech and Drama in which we examined the issue of suicide through the medium of music, addressing this creatively through singing, education and performance. This was supported by the Acorn Legacy Fund.

We also provided the musical elements to a Heritage Lottery application lead by Caw/Nelson Drive Action group which celebrated the Centenaries with music commemorating the Easter Rising and the Battle of the Somme. Other funding bodies include Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Arts Council Northern Ireland and Derry City and Strabane District Council.
