Orchestra NorthWest is an ambitious orchestral project which launched in May 2019. The orchestra offers an exciting range of performance, workshop and learning opportunities for local musicians in Derry, Strabane, Donegal and the wider North West region. Based in a region rich in musical heritage and talent, Orchestra NorthWest seeks to showcase the vast wealth of musical talent, experience and enthusiasm that exists in all walks of life.
ONW is managed by the Allegri Arts Organisation, a community music organisation and registered charity (NIC107895). Founded in 2013, we are proud to be one of the few remaining legacy projects from that City of Culture year. We manage junior, youth and ladies choirs, a symphony orchestra - Orchestra NorthWest - and the annual community singing celebration, the Every Voice Festival.
Tonight's event is part-funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Lottery Project Fund.
