The Every Voice Festival 2026 launched its programme with an exciting “Come & Sing” event this June, bringing together singers of all abilities for a day of music-making in The Guildhall, Derry.

Taking place on Saturday 13 June, the event will be led by internationally renowned conductor Greg Beardsell, offering participants a rare opportunity to work closely with one of the leading figures in choral music.

The afternoon session, running from 12pm to 5pm, will feature interactive workshops designed to develop vocal skills and build a collaborative choral performance. The day will culminate in a live concert at 7:30pm, where participants will showcase their work to an audience.

The event is open to all voices aged 14 and over, making it accessible to experienced singers and newcomers alike. It forms part of a broader celebration of community music-making at this year’s festival.

Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance, with places expected to fill quickly. Festival organisers have also highlighted a particular interest in encouraging more male voices to take part.

Those interested in joining can register online via the official sign-up form: https://forms.gle/xGaBUhmmbT52EGzZA

With its focus on inclusivity, learning and performance, the opening event promises to set a vibrant tone for the rest of the festival programme.
